We are looking for a skilled remote Senior AWS Engineer to join our team. As a Senior AWS Developer, you will be responsible for deploying and developing Cloud Tools across all Cloud Service Providers and creating support plans for these tools. You will work collaboratively with CSP teams, particularly the AWS team, to support their use and deployment of the specified tooling. This role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as experience working in Agile environments and with RBAC, Cloud IAM, and Security. You will need to have excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to continual improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and develop Cloud Tools across all Cloud Service Providers
- Create processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams
- Work in and alongside the CSP teams to support their use and deployment of the specified tooling
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses
- Make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision
- Ensure relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
- Schedule and coordinate capacity/product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business
- Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
- Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
- Support in deploying tooling across development teams
Requirements
- At least 3 years of engineering experience with AWS, preferably as a platform engineer or cloud developer
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform
- Experience in Cloud Engineering and automation at scale
- Previous experience of development using Python, GoLang, or NodeJS
- Knowledge of RBAC, Cloud IAM & Security
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
