We are looking for a remote Senior AWS Engineer to work on our Cloud Engineering and Cloud software development team. As a Senior AWS Developer, you will assist with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs. You will translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses. You will have the opportunity to make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision. Your role will require frequent interaction with the AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs
- Create processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams
- Work in and alongside the CSP teams, particularly AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses
- Make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision
- Ensure relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
- Schedule and coordinate capacity / product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business
- Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
- Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Developer, with a focus on AWS
- Experience in Cloud Engineering and automation at scale
- Proficient in Python, GoLang or NodeJS development
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) concepts
- Knowledge of RBAC, Cloud IAM & Security
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with RBAC, Cloud IAM & Security in a multi-cloud environment
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
