We are seeking a Senior AWS Engineer to join our remote team. You will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining Cloud Tools across all Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). You will work closely with the AWS team, as well as other CSP teams, to support their use and deployment of specified tooling. Your role will involve translating business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses. You will work in an Agile environment and make technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment and ongoing development of Cloud Tools across all CSPs
- Create processes and support plans for Cloud Tools to allow handover of tooling to SRE teams
- Translates business requirements into technical requirements and tooling configuration by sourcing data and undertaking appropriate analyses
- Makes technical design and amendment decisions with limited supervision
- Work in and alongside the CSP teams, particularly AWS team in order to support their use and deployment of specified tooling
- Ensure relevant reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards
- Manage upgrades and coordinate internal and third parties where required
- Schedule and coordinate capacity/product upgrades & releases, liaising with other areas of the business
- Create accurate documentation and monitor system performance to effectively contribute to business and continual improvement activities
- Support in deploying tooling across development teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an AWS Developer or Platform Engineer
- Experience with Python or Go language
- Working knowledge of RBAC and Cloud IAM & Security
- Experience in Cloud Engineering and automation at scale
- Knowledge of the Infrastructure as a Code (IaC)
- Experience with Terraform
- B2+ English level proficiency
