We're seeking a skilled and motivated Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong, hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud platforms, CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure automation, and systems integration. This individual should be comfortable working alongside development, operations, and infrastructure teams, and eager to lead tool enhancements, platform upgrades, and automation initiatives within a large enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting application and infrastructure delivery
- Build and maintain AWS cloud solutions focused on automation, scalability, security, and reliability
- Oversee and improve infrastructure-as-code implementations using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Streamline deployment and operational workflows using Bash, Python, Shell scripting, and other relevant tools
- Maintain source control and support build/release processes using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeDeploy
- Collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to establish best practices for deployment, monitoring, and reliability
- Participate in initiatives to enhance tools and platforms, upgrade environments, and advance DevOps practices
- Help ensure cloud environments align with AWS security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and other controls
- Support networking tasks across AWS and on-premises environments
- Contribute to troubleshooting operational issues, performing root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience with AWS DevOps practices and cloud-based delivery systems
- Extensive experience building and integrating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, GitLab CI/CD, and Jenkins
- Proficiency with AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS APIs, and other cloud-based tools
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, security groups, and access control principles
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash/Shell, Python, and SQL
- Some experience with Perl for automation and scripting tasks
- Practical knowledge of orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Rundeck
- Strong command of Linux/Unix systems
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals across cloud and on-premises environments
- Willingness to participate in tooling improvements, platform upgrades, and DevOps advancement projects
- English proficiency at B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk
- Exposure to ELK Stack and Sumo Logic
- Familiarity with additional AWS services such as ECS/ECR/EC2, RDS/Aurora/DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch
- Understanding of Lambda, SNS/SQS, and container/platform tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of ALB/ELB and experience with hybrid cloud/on-premises environments
- Prior experience working in large, enterprise-level environments
