We are seeking a remote Senior AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes expertise to join our team.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of relevant work experience and will be responsible for automating processes, developing and refining tools, procedures, and workflows to build consistency and stability for our internal operations and customer experience. They will have a strong background in Kubernetes, cloud computing platforms, and infrastructure as code solutions.
Responsibilities
- Automate processes and develop tools, procedures, and workflows for internal operations and customer experience
- Discuss ideas at a high level and utilize technical ability to implement them
- Review and research potential new products
- Work comfortably in a fluid environment where requirements and priorities may change at short notice
- Continually address root causes of issues and re-evaluate projects with the team to ensure solutions are effective
- Ensure timely progress of projects
- Coordinate with different teams to optimize work, document, and communicate progress
- Produce documentation on development work for funding purposes
- Effectively communicate with other departments to highlight project goals and progress
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- B2+ English level
- Kubernetes knowledge (Gatekeeper, PSPs, deployments, persistent volumes, ingress service, service accounts, roles, and other IAM objects, etc.)
- Proven cloud service provider experience, including infrastructure build and configurations of VPC, Networking services, Compute, Storage, IAM
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS required, Azure and GCP are a plus)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native solutions design and implementation, focusing on Network, Identity and Access Management, Programmable infrastructure, Event logging, Resource monitoring, and Secrets Management
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code solutions using GitLab, Bitbucket, Terraform, Ansible, HashiCorp Vault/Consul, Jenkins
- Programming experience in a scripting language (Python, PowerShell, and Go are a plus)
- Experience working in an SDLC environment for infrastructure as code, leveraging segregation of duties and code tagging for safe, automated testing
- Knowledge of Data Serialization Languages (JSON, YAML)
- Knowledge and understanding of Networking Technologies
- Strong Sysadmin and development skills
Nice to have
- Cloud certifications (Cloud professional level preferred)
- Experience with Terraform Cloud/Terraform Enterprise
- Container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Acker)
