Senior Automation Tester with Java

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with expertise in Java to join our team and support automation testing for a large Wealth Management firm.

This role focuses on the Dynamic Portfolio and Tax Management system currently in its development phase, transitioning from manual to automated testing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Automate test cases for regression, functional, and smoke testing
  • Plan and execute automation tasks while ensuring team adherence to testing standards
  • Integrate test cycles with DevOps pipelines
  • Troubleshoot system issues with creativity and efficiency
  • Automate testing for backend services (REST APIs) and front-end applications
  • Document and report defects effectively
  • Manage test data and test environments
  • Handle version management for test scripts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 3+ years in test automation development or combined development and testing experience
  • Knowledge of REST & SOAP API testing using tools like SOAPUI and Groovy scripting
  • Proficiency in Selenium or similar testing tools
  • Skills in designing and maintaining automation scripts to meet acceptance criteria
  • Background in agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
  • Competency in functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Showcase of manual testing expertise to support the transition from manual to automated processes
  • Understanding of integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines
  • Background in Financial Services and Wealth Management systems adds significant value
  • Exceptional communication and documentation capabilities
  • English language proficiency at a B2 level or higher
  • Capability to engage in client-facing interactions
