We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with expertise in JavaScript to join our client team working on a claims management platform.

The successful candidate will be independent, technically adept, and comfortable navigating incomplete requirements while delivering high-quality software in an Agile environment. You will collaborate directly with customer stakeholders and team members daily, ensuring seamless systems integration and reliable automation practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks in JavaScript
Design and execute automated tests for web services and APIs using Jest or equivalent tools
Collaborate with engineers to establish a culture of QA as an engineering discipline
Define and promote standards for high-speed, quality engineering across teams
Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues, enhancing test coverage and reliability
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo and AWS CDK
Validate the integration of cloud services, including AWS Serverless and PCF (CloudFoundry) environments
Release software with minimal defects to production every sprint
Partner with stakeholders to clarify vague requirements and align on testing strategies
Foster best practices for automation and continuously improve testing processes
Document and communicate test results, progress, and quality metrics to stakeholders

Requirements

3+ years of working experience in software testing and automation, primarily using JavaScript
Expertise in testing fundamentals, including web service and API test automation
Advanced skills in designing and developing test automation frameworks in JavaScript
Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Jest, Axios, and Node.js
Competency in cloud technologies like AWS Serverless (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB), PCF, and AWS CDK
Familiarity with database systems like MS SQL, Aurora DB, and RDS
Skills in integrating CI/CD workflows with tools like Bamboo
Background in working with Agile teams and delivering quality software at speed

Nice to have

Familiarity with PostgreSQL
Understanding of Axios for API testing
Exposure to AWS data migration services like DMS
