Our business is expanding steadily, and we're looking to add a Senior Automation Tester with dependable Java skills to our lineup. Taking on this role means being central to the process of making sure our products hit quality expectations and function reliably ahead of customer release. Responsibilities
- Build and tune automated test scripts intended to check how applications function across multiple technical layers
- Decide which application areas need automation prioritized first, arranging testing scope according to risk levels and business needs
- Execute rounds of automated testing and comb through the resulting data to catch defects before they reach live environments
- Work alongside development teams and business stakeholders to break down upcoming feature specifications and turn them into concrete test plans
- Continually revise and improve current automated test collections to keep them synced with application updates
- Trace the origin of test failures to determine whether the issue stems from the product or from flaws in the automation scripts
- Contribute actively to shaping testing approaches and frameworks that support new capabilities and broader system enhancements
- Take part in discussions aimed at estimating the realistic time and effort testing tasks will demand
- Support the reliability of continuous integration workflows by confirming automated tests run smoothly at every stage of the build pipeline
- Note down testing practices, recurring roadblocks, and effective solutions to help the team learn and grow together
Requirements
- Academic background featuring Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- A minimum of three years of hands-on, focused experience in automation testing
- Confident, practically grounded Java skills geared toward building automated testing tools
- Previous direct experience with Java-based tools created for Web UI automation work
- Solid history of developing automated validation processes for web services and API layers
- Ease using version control platforms to manage and track updates to source code
- Clear understanding of the foundational ideas behind constructing and organizing automation test frameworks
- Hands-on background applying BDD frameworks in Java-focused testing contexts
- Capable communication skills alongside English fluency at C1 level or higher, enabling accurate understanding of business needs and their conversion into agentic architecture approaches
