We are searching for a talented Senior Automation Tester in Java to join our team.
In this role, you will play a meaningful part in protecting the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications across the entire development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to push automation initiatives forward and strengthen overall testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Draft functional, integration, and acceptance test cases to confirm system behavior
- Develop automated test cases covering regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Plan and execute automation activities while ensuring testing standards are followed within the team
- Embed test cycles into the DevOps pipeline to enable continuous quality assurance
- Use creative and efficient approaches to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Automate testing for back-end services such as REST APIs along with front-end components
- Record and report defects clearly to enable effective issue tracking
- Handle test data and test environments to ensure reliable test execution
- Manage test script version control to keep code integrity intact across releases
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
- At least 3 years of applied professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a background in test automation development or a blend of development and testing experience
- Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP API testing, preferably using SOAPUI and Groovy scripting
- Applied background with Cucumber for behavior-driven testing
- Strong Java programming ability for creating automation frameworks and scripts
- Practical experience with Selenium or comparable tools for UI automation
- Track record of building and maintaining automation scripts to ensure that information systems services and programs meet acceptance criteria
- Experience working within Agile methodology settings
- Strong analytical mindset supported by excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills
- Proven experience across functional, integration, and regression testing
- Background writing unit tests that cover robustness, edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Solid working knowledge of manual testing techniques
- Demonstrated experience integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and spoken communication skills
Nice to have
- Previous background in the Financial Services or Wealth Management industry
- Working knowledge of Apache Maven for project build and dependency management
- Practical experience with Gradle for build automation
- Familiarity with Mainframe systems and their related testing workflows
