Senior Automation Tester in Java

We are actively searching for a highly qualified Senior Automation Tester with extensive Java expertise to join our dedicated team.

This essential role is crucial for a leading Wealth Management firm as they transition from traditional manual testing practices to modern automated systems within their Branch Investment Management Portfolio. The selected candidate will be instrumental in crafting and executing a comprehensive automation strategy in conjunction with the introduction of a new Automation Framework.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and sustain functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
Design test scenarios for regression, functional, and smoke tests
Lead automation efforts and ensure exceptional testing standards are maintained throughout the team
Seamlessly incorporate testing protocols into the DevOps pipeline to enhance operational efficiency
Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to detect and address system issues
Execute automated testing for both backend services (REST APIs) and frontend platforms
Diligently track and report defects, ensuring detailed updates
Manage test data and verify the stability of testing environments
Consistently review and update test script versions

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master’s degree is strongly recommended
A minimum of 6 years of Quality Assurance experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to test automation development or a mix of development and testing roles
Profound knowledge in designing and managing automation scripts
Proficient in agile methodologies
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
Skilled in functional, integration, and regression testing
Thorough knowledge of manual testing techniques
Able to effectively integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
English proficiency at a B2 level or higher
Experience in roles involving direct client interaction
A good understanding of financial services and/or wealth management is beneficial

Nice to have

Advanced skills in tools such as Cucumber, Java, and Jira
Expertise in Performance Testing and SQL
Experience with qTest
