We are actively searching for a Senior Automation Tester with specialized experience in Java to enhance our remote team. Our client is an internationally recognized insurance company which provides comprehensive insurance solutions across various domains. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for a multitude of applications spanning across mobile, desktop, and web platforms. Responsibilities
- Comprehend the flow of code and how it interacts with different components
- Establish, maintain, and run test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms
- Develop test scenarios and acceptance tests to confirm the functionality of software
- Investigate customer complaints, test bugs, and create/manage bug reports
- Work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues across all systems
- Stay informed about testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends, and contribute to the improvement of existing practices and processes
- Coordinate closely with the Functional QA and Development teams to address both functional and technical issues
- Collaborate with the technical lead for the deployment of code automation
- Mentor and guide junior developers to encourage skill enhancement and career growth
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in automated testing, ideally specializing in Java technologies
- Exceptional skill in identifying potential risks and errors in an application
- Proficiency in conducting load testing and performance testing to ensure software robustness
- Experience in implementing and utilizing DevOps practices
- Expertise in Java programming language
- Understanding of Selenium and Robo frameworks for automated functional testing
- Experience with JMeter for load testing of software applications
- Familiarity with Jenkins for continuous integration
- Understanding of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing(VAPT) for system security
- Experience with Agile methodologies for flexible and fast software development
- Proficient command over English language for both spoken and written communication
Nice to have
- Experience using Cucumber for behavior driven development (BDD) in automated testing
- Familiarity with Cypress for end-to-end testing in modern web applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript for scripting in automation
