Senior Automation Tester for a Banking and Finance Company

Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior Automation Tester with 4+ years’ experience in quality assurance in software development, and strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes to join our team.

Our client is an American multinational corporation, that provides technology for electronic payment transactions and value-added services at the point-of-sale.

This project combines an autonomous workstyle with cooperative teamwork with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in team Scrum meetings to review requirements, specifications and technical design documents as to provide meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Expand and maintain the automated test suite for the services we create
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet business needs
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Requirements
  • Proven work experience in quality assurance in software development
  • 2+ years’ experience for Senior roles
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience for Standard roles
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. Based on work with Selenium in Java, experience in one of those is required
  • Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
Nice to have
  • Experience working within a Scrum development framework
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
  • Experience with Postman
  • Background in Payments
