Senior Automation Tester

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to automate testing for functionality developed on the Salesforce platform.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of web-based applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to design and implement robust automation frameworks and testing strategies for scalable solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Create, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using the Playwright framework for web applications and RESTful services
  • Validate and test Salesforce platform functionality, including custom objects, Apex logic, Lightning components, and Java-based microservices
  • Design and execute detailed test plans, covering integration and API testing for microservices and endpoints
  • Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle to ensure alignment on testing objectives
  • Perform comprehensive end-to-end testing for Salesforce customizations, integrations, Lightning Web Components, and Apex triggers
  • Review RESTful API specifications and conduct automated API testing with tools such as Postman or Playwright
  • Monitor test execution results and resolve integration failures within CI/CD automation pipelines
  • Document, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as an Automation Tester
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform testing, including customizations and integrations
  • Proficiency in Java programming and microservices testing
  • Expertise in API testing methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including troubleshooting automation workflows
  • Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and project management
  • Proficiency in Playwright for test automation
  • Knowledge of version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, for iterative test planning
  • Experience with TestRail for managing test cases and reporting results
  • Ability to write clear, reusable, and detailed test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Salesforce Administrator or Developer Certification to demonstrate advanced knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities
  • Practical experience with Playwright for testing Salesforce applications and customizations
  • Familiarity with testing libraries integrated with Playwright, such as Mocha or Jest
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, particularly in relation to microservices hosting and deployment
