We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our remote team and provide technical support to our Cloud Platform customers.
As part of our global 24x7 support organization, you will work closely with engineers and product managers to improve our products and make our customers successful. You will provide support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs, and assist with change requests and incident ticket handling for the remaining Infrastructure Teams. You will also identify and document product bugs and feature requests and work with internal support teams as well as customers to implement effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs
- Provide technical assistance and support as part of a global 24x7-support organization
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the product and make our customers successful
- Change requests and incident ticket handling for the remaining Infrastructure Teams - Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Provide technical and developer support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs
- Follow notification and escalation procedures
- Follow standards for communications with business involving operational issues
- Identify and document product bugs and feature requests and work with internal support teams as well as customers to implement effective solutions
- Work closely with internal support teams to improve cloud products at a senior level
Requirements
- 3+ years of development experience in any of these technologies: Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, Go, .NET, Ruby, Node.js
- At least 2 years of support experience (monitoring, software maintenance, new features, etc.)
- Experience in software architecture patterns (Monolith, Distributed, Microservices)
- Ability to build web applications, web services, and APIs
- Experience with querying Relational Databases (MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL)
- Knowledge of web development (REST, SOAP, RPC, HTTP, HTTPS)
- Experience with code review, GCP databases, GCP storage, Linux administration, and network basics
- Proficient in spoken and written English, at an upper-intermediate level
Nice to have
- Cloud computing experience
- Experience using Web Authentication (Basic, Cookies)
- Knowledge of networking (Load Balancer, Firewall, DNS, Forwarding Rules, NAT)
- Experience using No Relational Databases
- Experience consuming third-party APIs
- Experience in mobile development
