We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our remote team.
As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for leading a talented development team and driving the successful implementation of innovative solutions within the industry. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Takeover of an existing project (state-of-the-art stack) and facilitate efficient knowledge transfer inside the development team
- Design and development of new features and functionality for existing and new mobile applications
- Ensure the reliability and stability of production systems, contributing to an optimized software delivery pipeline
- Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues, taking part in programs to foster growth and learning within the team
- Play an active role in the Agile (SCRUM) team, understanding one's role and effectively following established development processes
- Understand business domain and implement business logic, driving efficient software solutions that address identified needs
- Collaborate with the Customer, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, UI developers, and DevOps team on technical designs
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of the software
- Adhere to software engineering best practices and principles, effectively explaining their benefits (e.g., SOLID, DRY, KISS)
- Apply design patterns effectively to solve complex technical challenges and create scalable solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Android Developer, with a strong foundation in Java
- Strong experience in developing and maintaining applications using Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and related frameworks
- Experience in building and delivering mobile apps, with a deep understanding of the app development lifecycle
- Passion for developing ever-improving strategies to best deliver high-quality code
- Proficiency in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for ensuring high code quality and efficiency
- Experience in writing automated unit, system, and acceptance tests for reliable and functional software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating excellent communication and coordination skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, allowing you to tackle complex technical challenges and provide optimal solutions
- Advanced English language skills (Upper-Intermediate level), enabling effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud-native mobile app development, enabling scalable and reliable application development
- Expertise in GraphQL, demonstrating a deep understanding of web services and related technologies
- Knowledge of Kotlin, with experience developing in features
