We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join our team and work on an exciting project that aims to enhance the developer experience and drive better adoption of UIs among our client ecosystem of products.
You will be responsible for developing a set of tools that enable developers to more accurately and efficiently build UIs that drive product success. Your expertise in Android development, Kotlin, and Agile methodologies will be essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain token generator code supporting Android and Web token outputs for Material Design tokens and any other design system
- Develop tooling to identify and report data about UI components in an Android app
- Develop pre-submits to check for the use of tokens, components, or other UI development features
- Ensure adherence to best practices for UI development
- Ensure all code meets desired practices and design specifications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
- Work closely with a mentor to enhance your skills and adapt to the company's processes
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Android development
- Expertise in Kotlin programming language
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team environment
- Fluent in English, with an Upper-Intermediate level of proficiency
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in Python programming language
