Find me a job

We are looking for engineers who love the craft and know how to use AI to move faster. You'll solve real client problems, make architectural decisions, and help your team find better ways to build software. If you are looking to give your career a real boost with a global leader in digital transformation, EPAM is the perfect choice. If you'd like to learn more about this position and project, apply now.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a goal from start to finish, understanding the underlying problem, questioning assumptions, selecting an appropriate approach, and driving it through to completion, whether that results in a production feature, a validated architecture, or an AI workflow that boosts team effectiveness
  • Put coding agents to work by using them to explore codebases, implement features, write tests, debug issues, and review changes, while deciding what to delegate, when to step in, and how to verify outcomes
  • Configure and extend agent harnesses to make them more effective, covering context, skills, specialized agents, hooks, tools, execution environments, and feedback loops, while connecting them to real repositories and engineering workflows
  • Experiment with new approaches on real problems, measure the impact, and help teammates adopt the methods that prove effective
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Solid engineering depth, having shipped and maintained production software, with the ability to write code, reason through architecture, debug unfamiliar systems, and clearly explain technical decisions
  • Daily, hands-on experience with coding agents, with fluency in tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar, along with a solid understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and failure modes
  • Practical experience configuring and adapting the systems surrounding an agent, using building blocks such as skills, specialized agents, hooks, and tool integrations, with a solid grasp of context, execution loops, state, failure recovery, and completion verification
  • A strong focus on outcomes, with the ability to turn open-ended goals into practical steps, work through blockers, bring others along, and take full responsibility for results, including code written by an agent
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2level or higher
Nice to have
  • Experience building a coding-agent harness from scratch, along with background in custom tools or MCP integrations, agent evaluations, and coordinating multiple agents working together
