We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team. Our client is transforming its insurance technology landscape by moving from legacy systems to next-generation Agentic AI-powered solutions. Join a global team building intelligent systems that automate complex insurance workflows, enabling brokers to focus on strategic decision-making and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Identify high-impact opportunities for AI adoption across Insurance Broking operations
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that automate complex insurance workflows
- Build AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, document processing, information extraction, classification, and agent-based architectures
- Collaborate directly with brokers, underwriters, and operations teams to understand business challenges and deliver scalable AI solutions
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Develop robust AI evaluation frameworks, including testing, monitoring, performance measurement, and hallucination detection
- Drive rapid experimentation and innovation using modern AI development practices
- Improve operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase business productivity through automation
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices for building reliable AI systems
- Research and apply emerging AI technologies to solve insurance industry challenges
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML, Machine Learning, or related domains
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript
- Experience building and delivering AI-powered products from concept to production
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD and containerization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with (Re)Insurance Underwriting Operations to better understand and support industry-specific workflows
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with a focus on security, to support safe and consistent environment provisioning
- Background in the Insurance industry to bring domain context to AI solution design
- Experience with Monitoring and Observability tools to track system health and performance in production
- Technical Leadership experience to guide teams and influence engineering direction
