We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Tester with a focus on Accessibility Evaluation and UX Design to join our remote team.
As a Senior Accessibility Tester, you will be responsible for reviewing ongoing product designs, providing real-time feedback to the Design team, and annotating all final designs for handoff to the Product Team to ensure the product meets the client's Accessibility Standards. We are looking for someone with a mature understanding of Global A11Y standards.
Responsibilities
- Review ongoing product designs and provide real-time feedback for accessibility improvements
- Annotate final designs for handoff to the Product Team to ensure adherence to Accessibility Standards
- Collaborate with the Design team to incorporate accessibility best practices into the design process
- Conduct accessibility evaluations and usability testing on digital products
- Advocate for accessibility best practices within the organization and drive awareness of accessibility standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the implementation of accessible design and user experience
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Accessibility Testing
- Proficiency in Accessibility Evaluation and Accessibility Fundamentals
- Experience in using Figma for design annotation and collaboration
- Strong understanding of UX Design principles and best practices
- Ability to provide real-time feedback to Design teams for accessibility improvements
- Knowledge of Global A11Y standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Good understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience in conducting usability testing and creating test plans for accessibility evaluations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to advocate for accessibility best practices within the organization
Nice to have
- Experience with assistive technologies and screen readers
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and standards
- Knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessible interaction design
