We are looking for a Security Architect II for our remote team.
This individual will collaborate with a leading Canadian media and information corporation to manage a series of APIs accessible to third-party customers. This position demands an experienced security professional who is skilled in security monitoring, assessment, standards, and governance.

Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security standards for APIs accessible to third-party customers
- Evaluate existing APIs against security standards and create compliance frameworks
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure security governance and monitoring
- Lead the implementation of security frameworks to maintain compliance and align with business objectives
- Establish a system for ongoing monitoring and compliance of APIs
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of practical hands-on experience in security engineering or a related field
- At least two years of experience as a Software Architect
- Skilled in security monitoring, assessment, standards, and governance
- Capability to develop and enforce security standards for APIs
- Experience in leading the implementation of security frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate existing APIs against standards and create compliance frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and OpenAPI Specification (OAS)
- Strong understanding of REST and its security implications
