We are seeking an SAP Joule & Multi-Agent Integration Engineer to drive the architecture and implementation of the agentic AI roadmap. In this role, you will design, build, and secure cross-platform agent networks that integrate SAP’s Joule ecosystem with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms using open agent communication protocols. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of agent development, ranging from SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) provisioning to production-grade Agent-to-Agent (A2A) orchestration.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy pro-code AI agents on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma) using Joule Studio, LangGraph, or SAP Cloud SDK for AI — defining agent tools, orchestration logic, and backend integrations against S/4HANA OData APIs (Orders, Quotes, Contracts, Accounts) via BTP Destination Service
  • Architect and implement end-to-end A2A communication between SAP Joule and the ServiceNow platform — exposing Joule agents as A2A-compliant servers via SAP Agent Gateway, authoring Agent Cards, configuring JSON-RPC endpoints, and registering External Agent Providers in ServiceNow AI Agent Studio over Google A2A protocol v0.3.0
  • Design primary/secondary agent delegation patterns, async push notification flows, and timeout-resilient pipelines across SAP and non-SAP agent networks — ensuring agents reason, delegate, and recover reliably at enterprise scale
  • Configure end-to-end authentication across agent boundaries using OAuth2, SAP IAS App2App trust, and BTP Cloud Identity Services — enforcing least-privilege access, token governance, and audit-ready agent call chains
  • Own the full SAP BTP stack underpinning agent workloads — AI Core provisioning, SAP Build Process Automation entitlements, Cloud Foundry runtime, Destination Service, and SAP Agent Gateway configuration
  • Instrument agent pipelines with structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerting so failures are caught early, root-caused quickly, and prevented systematically across multi-hop agent calls
Requirements
  • 4+ years of hands-on SAP BTP engineering experience including Cloud Foundry, SAP Cloud Identity Services, and Destination Service configuration
  • Proven experience building and deploying custom Joule agents in Joule Studio (pro-code path) with tool definitions wired to SAP backend systems via OData or REST APIs
  • Demonstrated production experience enabling Agent-to-Agent (A2A) integration between SAP Joule and ServiceNow AI Agent Studio — including Agent Card authoring, External Agent Provider registration, credential aliasing, and A2A protocol handshake validation
  • Strong command of agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent) and multi-agent orchestration patterns including delegation, fallback, and async response handling
  • Solid understanding of API security and authentication: OAuth 2.0, mutual TLS, SAP IAS trust configurations, and BTP service bindings
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platform internals — Now Assist AI Agents, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and Connection & Credential Aliases
  • Strong grasp of distributed systems design, API performance, and fault-tolerance patterns relevant to multi-agent pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex agent topology designs for both engineering and business audiences
Nice to have
  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) alongside A2A for tool and resource exposure across agent boundaries
  • Exposure to SAP BRIM, SOM, or BTP Integration Suite (CPI) for SAP business process integration context
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Yokohama/Zurich release features for external agent interoperability
  • SAP BTP or ServiceNow certifications (Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist)
  • CI/CD experience for BTP workloads using Cloud Foundry CLI, MTA deployment, or GitHub Actions pipelines
