We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS Consultant to design, develop and maintain data integration and ETL solutions using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects and IT teams to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation and loading processes that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement ETL processes using SAP BODS to extract, transform and load data from various sources into target systems
- Analysis of business requirements and translation into technical solutions using SAP BODS
- Optimization and troubleshooting of ETL jobs for performance and reliability
- Collaboration with data architects and business analysts to ensure data quality and integrity
- Maintain and enhance existing BODS solutions, including job scheduling, monitoring and error handling
- Documentation of technical specifications, data flows and process diagrams
- Support for data migration projects and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) in a data integration or ETL role
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling and database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA)
- Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP BW or other SAP modules
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Experience with data migration projects, especially SAP S/4HANA migrations
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
