Find me a jobWe are looking for a Relocation Specialist to join our Talent Mobility team in Hungary and support employees and their families throughout their relocation and immigration journey. In this role, you will manage immigration documentation, coordinate relocation support, and collaborate closely with managers, recruiters, HR, and external partners to ensure smooth and compliant processes in line with Hungarian requirements. Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, submission, and renewal of documentation for Hungarian employment-related residence permits and other relevant residence authorizations for employees and their family members, including in-person visits to authorities when required (for example: supporting address registration, obtaining tax identification numbers, accompanying applicants in exceptional cases, and gathering information on complex cases or new regulations)
- Manage end-to-end relocation logistics for transferees and their families
- Serve as the primary contact for managers, recruiters, HR, and employees throughout the relocation and immigration process
- Provide timely, accurate information and ad hoc assistance, consistently meeting established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Track and register the status of all relocation and immigration cases, ensuring that every step in the process is completed and all relevant deadlines (such as permit expiration dates) are monitored for timely action
- Identify process gaps and growth areas, actively contributing to the improvement and optimization of existing workflows
- Ensure strict compliance with corporate policies, immigration regulations, and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, local legislation) when handling personal and sensitive information
- Actively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities, legal advisors, and relocation vendors, to facilitate smooth and compliant processes in Hungary
- Perform high-quality work within deadlines, both independently and as part of a team, always maintaining professionalism and service excellence
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably in relocation, mobility, immigration, travel or related operations
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is required; relevant certifications in immigration, HR, or law are preferred
- Good understanding of Hungarian immigration rules, employment-related residence permit processes, and best practices for international relocations is a must
- Proven ability to follow and improve established processes, with a proactive approach to identification and resolution of process gaps
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, multitask, and show initiative in a dynamic environment
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- High resilience and adaptability to work in a deadline-driven, flexible schedule environment
- Strong customer focus with practical application of service excellence principles
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Effective communication skills in English (C1), and native proficiency in Hungarian
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), Google Drive, and other collaboration tools
- Proficiency in use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to streamline daily tasks and optimize workflow efficiency
- Experience with HR teams, employees, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide guidance and support on immigration, residence, and relocation matters in Hungary
