We're looking for a Python Developer to join our team in the United Kingdom in a remote working mode.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of a secure, cloud-native data platform using AWS and Snowflake. Your work will involve designing automated data workflows, building scalable solutions, and supporting migration activities from legacy systems to modern architectures. Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated data pipelines for processing and integration
- Build scalable Python applications and backend services
- Support development of cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS and Snowflake
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automation using GitLab
- Create automated testing to validate data integrity and system performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and best practices
- Assist in migrating data from legacy environments to modern platforms
- Monitor and optimize performance for operational reliability
- Participate in Agile workflows including sprint planning and reviews
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate best practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python development experience with strong programming fundamentals
- Experience in building data engineering solutions and working with Snowflake or relational databases
- Proficiency in writing SQL for data processing and querying
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation using GitLab
- Familiarity with AWS services for data platforms and deployments
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for pipeline and application validation
- Practical experience working in Agile environments with JIRA tracking tools
- Understanding of ITIL processes within support environments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fully remote environment
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with REST API development and integration
- Knowledge of DevOps or DataOps practices for automation and monitoring
- Awareness of security and compliance standards for cloud-based data solutions
