We are actively seeking a Python Developer to join our team in Lisbon.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the end-to-end process of migrating data science codebases from one cloud platform to another while providing technical expertise on insurance-specific libraries. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the specific requirements and challenges of the migration project and develop best practices for data science workflows and model deployment.
This position requires work from office in Lisbon 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end process of migrating data science codebases from one cloud platform to another
- Assist and mentor data scientists worldwide in rewriting and optimizing their Python code for the new cloud environment
- Provide technical expertise on insurance-specific libraries (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, NLTK, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Plotly, Polars, PySpark, Dask, Statsmodels, LightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost, Optuna, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the specific requirements and challenges of the migration project
- Develop and implement best practices for data science workflows and model deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to libraries dependencies in the project
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Python development
- Understanding of Algorithms & Data structures
- Previous experience in the insurance industry or insurance-related data science projects
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Agile experience
- Demonstrated ability to rewrite and optimize code for performance in cloud environments
- Proven analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements
- Proactivity, pragmatism, curiosity, and autonomy
- Team spirit and good interpersonal skills
- Proficient command of English language for both spoken and written communication (B2+)
Nice to have
- French language proficiency (B2) is a plus
