We are seeking a Product Owner to join a leading automotive financial services provider undergoing a multi-year digital transformation to deliver best-in-class financial products through modern cloud-native systems. The organization has established a comprehensive transformation office with defined product organization, technical delivery systems, and architectural guidelines. The client has adopted a GCP cloud-first strategy and follows SAFe methodology for enterprise-scale agile delivery. This transformation impacts both commercial and retail customers across the U.S. and Canada, modernizing how millions of customers finance vehicles and related assets.

Responsibilities
  • Define, maintain, and prioritize the vision, strategy, and backlog for core auto finance domain data products (e.g., Credit Application, Underwriting Decisions, Contract Booking, Loan Servicing Ledger, Collections & Delinquency, Lease-End Remarketing)
  • Translate complex auto lending and leasing business rules (e.g., dealer reserve calculations, net payoff formulas, interest accrual, vehicle depreciation) into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Partner with engineers and architects to apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, establishing bounded contexts and domain schemas that accurately reflect core lending operations
  • Author, negotiate, and enforce formal Data Contracts (defining schema, semantic definitions, refresh rate, SLAs/SLOs, and operational fitness) between producing domain teams and downstream consumers
  • Establish, monitor, and refine Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for data freshness, accuracy, and completeness, implementing automated alerting and corrective protocols
  • Track observability dashboards (schema drift, latency, null rates) and utilize telemetry from the Enterprise Data Catalog to ensure data product health
  • Operate within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) as an active agile team member
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release planning to align delivery iterations
  • Co-author domain OKRs and key results, aligning product delivery metrics with strategic enterprise transformation outcomes
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, BI, risk modeling, and financial reporting teams to migrate legacy mainframe pipelines to decentralized, cloud-native domain data products
  • Facilitate enablement workshops for analysts and business users, helping downstream consumers transition from legacy ETL/warehouse queries to self-serve Data Mesh consumption
  • Ensure data products comply with federated governance guidelines, regulatory mandates (FCRA, GLBA, GDPR/CCPA), and security policies, including PII masking, data lineage tracking, and role-based access control (RBAC)
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, data management, or a related field
  • Expertise in Data Mesh, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Data Contracts
  • Proficiency in the modern data stack, including Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt
  • Skills in SQL and Database DDLs
  • Knowledge of Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, and Avro/JSON schemas, along with familiarity with REST APIs
  • Background in data governance and observability, including Enterprise Data Catalogs and observability dashboards (monitoring latency, schema drift, null rates)
  • Understanding of GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery
  • Competency in Jira and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Familiarity with regulatory mandates, including FCRA, GLBA, and GDPR/CCPA
  • Capability to translate complex auto lending and leasing business rules into technical requirements and user stories
