The People Location Lead serves as the senior People partner for an EPAM location, taking ownership of the local People strategy, connecting the global/regional agenda to local execution, and functioning as the trusted advisor and escalation point for location leadership.
Responsibilities
- Bring a People perspective to decisions and the local agenda while supporting the location's leadership team
- Coordinate and lead local People initiatives in alignment with the regional model and business priorities
- Co-define action plans with leadership by analyzing location metrics, including engagement, attrition, and performance
- Implement and adapt People programs, processes, and policies to fit the local context
- Guarantee compliance with corporate policies and local labor regulations
- Serve as the escalation point for critical employee matters, such as conflicts, sensitive cases, and compliance issues
- Raise timely risk alerts to leadership by monitoring organizational health
- Ensure execution and feedback by linking global/regional People teams with local realities
- Improve performance, culture, and employee experience by co-defining location-specific initiatives
Requirements
- Proven track record of operating autonomously at the regional/location level while managing complex, cross-functional People projects and change
- Solid understanding of HR practices, labor law, and compliance, along with the judgment needed to connect global strategy with local context
- Experience leading large or multiple teams, including a demonstrated history of coaching and developing people leaders
- The ability to engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders, influencing decisions that impact satisfaction and outcomes
- Advanced-to-expert level skills in business acumen, stakeholder management, and communication/emotional intelligence
- Advanced English (C1) is required, and familiarity with EPAM people-management processes and AI fundamentals is considered a plus
