We are seeking a Mobile Developer (Android, React Native). You will build and support customer-facing mobile features for a large, multi-year engineering transformation serving Australia and New Zealand. You will work in balanced agile teams and help adopt an AI-assisted delivery approach, using tools like GitHub Copilot to improve speed, quality and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using Android Java, React Native and React
  • Build new mobile features and enhance existing functionality with a focus on performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with product, design and engineering partners to clarify requirements and deliver iteratively
  • Support production operations, including incident triage, troubleshooting and defect resolution
  • Improve code quality through reviews, refactoring and practical test automation where applicable
  • Communicate delivery status, risks and technical decisions to distributed stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of mobile engineering practices, including AI-assisted workflows
  • Participate in shift-based support coverage as needed to meet operational requirements
Requirements
  • Java proficiency for Android mobile development
  • React Native skill sets for building and maintaining production mobile apps
  • React proficiency to support feature delivery and shared UI patterns
  • Mobile application development background across build, release and support cycles
  • Agile delivery experience in cross-functional teams (Scrum, Kanban or similar)
  • Clear communication in English for distributed collaboration
  • Problem-solving approach for debugging, incident resolution and prioritization changes
Nice to have
  • Android SDK familiarity for deeper native integrations
  • Exposure to Node.js or Apache Airflow in adjacent systems
  • Interest in AI-assisted engineering practices (for example GitHub Copilot)
