We are currently looking for a remote Middle Python Software Test Automation Engineer with 2+ years of Python development experience and software engineering in test background to join our team.
The customer is one of the world’s largest providers of financial markets data and infrastructure, serving over 40,000 institutions in approximately 190 countries. It provides leading data and insights, trading platforms, and open data and technology platforms that connect a thriving global financial markets community - driving performance in trading, investment, wealth management, regulatory compliance, market data management, enterprise risk and fighting financial crime.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional teams including Development and Application Support
- Participate in daily and weekly status meetings
- Write test cases (and, possibly, test plan) and scripts
- Automate test cases and execute all the testing required to ensure that the software meets business requirements and is of high quality
- Perform functional (including application integration, system, system/network integration and acceptance testing) and non-functional testing (performance, volume, load and fallback testing)
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications
- Regularly inform manager on your own progress and progress of the project, identifying risks early in the process
- Review the testing approach used by the team and propose improvements in order to maintain high quality of the product
- Provide test coverage, test case/suite runs, and other QA reports needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of Python development experience
- Background in software engineering in test discipline
- Knowledge of SQL, database load scripts
- Ability to tune SQL statements and understand indexing strategies
- Active application testing and test automations work experience
- Experience of participation in requirement refinements and reviews, functional specification reviews, technical design reviews and contributing to development project estimations, scheduling and test plans
- English level proficiency B1
