Middle JavaScript Developer For Insurance Company
Remote in India
JavaScript
& 3 others

Sorry, this position is no longer available
India
Currently, we are looking for a Remote Middle JavaScript Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Building a B2B2C self-service portal for the small insurance companies (that is part of a bigger one, but still quite independent in decisions it makes, which allows it to move fast with minimum bureaucracy & political overhead)
- Work already 3+ years with this client, with a stable team that advanced so far in work planning that we can allow us a No-Estimates approach, no Scrum-master, and no useless ceremonies
- Have daily standups and periodic reviews/retros to demonstrate what has been accomplished and learn from our experience, but no Sprints, Sprint Plannings, Planning Pokers, or Story points (not even man-days or man-hours!)
- use the latest stack available: Angular 14 (now v13, but by the time you will join most probably we will upgrade), Azure DevOps (that is our git, CI/CD, and task management software), and Azure cloud (where we deploy and operate). Our UI framework is PrimeNG
- Keep up with best engineering practices and not be shy to use pair programming (when/if needed), peer code reviews, and test automation (btw, it is also with TypeScript, and our FE engineers also contribute to e2e test automation)
- Deploy to Azure every month, or as frequently as there is something accepted and signed-off by the client to deploy
- Enjoy quite large freedom to decide how we will design and build the software, what libraries and tools to use, and so on. We value healthy work/life balance, and never commit overtime. We promote working smart, not hard
- Work in close collaboration with a customer, who provides Business Analysis, User Acceptance Testing, and Application Management services via dedicated team members
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript
- Experience with Scrum
- Knowledge of Agile
- Self-organized, values keeping the promise and transparency, tells proactively if have any issue
- Not afraid of responsibility
- Fine to work in a small team — you will be working together with another FE engineer who spend on the project more than 1 year already, a Test Automation engineer, a couple of BE developers (our BE is .NET Core), a DevOps Engineer and Delivery manager (who is also a Requirements Engineer, UI Designer, and Manual Tester).
- Like to learn new things and step out of my comfort zone to explore and ideate various problems
