Middle Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Developer to join our remote team, working with a global provider of insurance core systems that enables growth and helps insurers meet their goals for operational and cost efficiency. Our customer deploys our multi-line platform to achieve rapid and scalable solution implementations, and we are looking for a developer to help adopt this platform to the needs of our clients. As a Middle Java Developer you will be working with dedicated front-end developers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve complex issues
- Work with front-end developers to integrate the back-end with the front-end using REST API
- Design and implement database schemas and queries to support application functionality
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to coding standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong grasp of Spring Boot and REST API design principles
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-based deployment
- Proficiency in ReactJS, enabling you to collaborate effectively with front-end developers
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database Platform and experience with other databases
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate effectively with other developers, designers, and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify and resolve complex issues
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher

- Experience with PostgreSQL and other databases to support application functionality
