We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Developer to join our team, working on a dynamic and innovative project. Our ideal candidate is an engineering craftsman with an agile mindset, who is customer-focused and comfortable working in a distributed team environment. As a MiddleJava Developer, you will be responsible for building web applications with a focus on the client-side, redesigning UIs, and implementing new UIs with backend Java development if necessary. You will also be responsible for designing and building scalable frameworks for web applications, exploring and designing dynamic and compelling consumer experiences, and writing unit and integration tests.
Responsibilities
- Participation in estimation sessions and requirements clarification
- Planning, both long-term and short-term, with a focus on customer communication
- Communication on the project progress during scrum and status meetings
- Implementation of features and bug fixing, writing reusable, maintainable, efficient, and unit-tested code
- Participation in rigorous code review processes, implementation of securing and data protection rules
- Documenting technical decisions and designs
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Java development, demonstrating your strong competencies in data structures and software design
- Solid experience working with Java core, including a strong foundation in computer science, with strong analytical thinking and ability to solve algorithmic tasks
- Experience in developing reusable and efficient code, with a focus on TDD and BDD
- Experience with customer communication and creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Excellent knowledge of unit testing and techniques for finding sources of application issues
- Understanding of SDLC, CI and CD practices, and the code review process
- Strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve algorithmic tasks
- Strong English communication skills and the capability for successful collaboration with cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Practical experience with build managers such as Maven or Ant
- Experience working on cross-browser platforms
- Experience with JavaScript and Angular JS
- Solid understanding of filters and their implementation in web applications
