Middle Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Middle Java Developer to join our remote team, working on exciting new products and reworking existing systems for a mid-cap client in the technology consulting industry. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing RESTful APIs, using your expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices. You will also be working with Amazon Web Services, including ECS and S3, and ensuring compliance with NFRs. Your role will be crucial in contributing to the high impact of our client's business, and we are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful team leadership and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- Ensure compliance with NFRs and contribute to the unique solution of the project
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and user needs
- Participate in ScrumMaster and SA capabilities, contributing to the delivery approach of SAFe
- Assist in the development of new products, reworking and improving existing systems
- Contribute to technology consulting efforts, providing valuable insights and expertise
- Provide effective communication with the client, ensuring established relationships are maintained
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study
- 2+ years of professional web development experience using Java for enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience in RESTful APIs
- In-depth knowledge of Web Services lifecycle, API versioning and design approaches, tools, interoperability, and SOA concepts
- Expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices, with hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services, including ECS and S3
- Strong knowledge of React.js
- Proven track record of successful team leadership and effective communication
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Netflix OSS
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, and ETL
