Middle Java Developer

Java, JUnit, REST API, SQL, Spring Boot, Microservice Architecture Pattern, MongoDB

We are seeking a Middle Java Developer to join our remote team within one of the largest EPAM accounts. This role offers the opportunity to engage with complex projects and innovative solutions that influence the business outcomes directly. Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain various software codes
  • Construct backend Microservices and REST APIs
  • Conduct unit testing to ensure software quality
  • Perform code reviews to uphold high standards
  • Adhere to best practices including code review, unit testing, CI, and other methodologies
  • Engage actively in SCRUM ceremonies
  • Participate in estimation and planning sessions to contribute to project roadmaps
  • Collaborate effectively with peer developers
  • Show a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Java Developer
  • Hands-on development experience with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot
  • Strong understanding of APIs and microservices architecture
  • Proficiency in using JUnit for testing
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB
  • Fluent in English, with communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
  • Background in Financial Services, particularly in wealth management
  • Familiarity with agile development environments
