Currently, we are looking for a Remote Middle Functional Tester to join our team.
The customer is one of the world's biggest human resources companies. EPAM worked with them to create an innovative coaching solution for employees, coaches, and HR leaders.
Responsibilities
- Writing functional tests and setting up test harnesses application and services under test
- Writing and reviewing test cases based on Agile stories and/or product requirements
- Interact and collaborate directly with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure proper development and quality of applications
- Interact with Software Development Automation Engineers, QA members and customer’s technical leaders to understand system functions and write test cases
- Align with software testing best practices
- Participate in efforts to share testing technology and expertise within the company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to apply these skills cooperatively in a collaborative, and sometimes distributed, team environment (i.e. Agile)
Requirements
- 2+ years of Functional Testing experience
- Understanding of REST and demonstrated experience with REST APIs testing
- Experience with mobile, web testing
- Experience in using environment tools such as JIRA, Github, Jenkins, TestRail (as a Test management tool)
- Experience with SQL and an understanding of relational databases and architecture
- Experience with web services and validating the xml output
- Strong experience in client-server applications testing
- Experience working with SDLC frameworks (Agile, SCRUM)
- Experience in mobile testing
- Experience in Web-testing (including cross-browser and l10n and i14n)
- Reliable, self-motivated, dedicated, willing to go for the extra mile to high-quality delivery of work products
- Skilled in navigating the dynamics of working as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a team environment
- Strong background in QA processes and procedures
