We are seeking a talented Middle DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, working with a leading provider of enterprise cloud computing solutions. As a Middle DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in the evolution of the Indexing pipeline, migration of pipeline dependencies to AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and reliable deployment of software solutions, leveraging your expertise in Amazon Web Services, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Scripting Languages.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or other preferred tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and deployment processes
- Automate build and deployment processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Ensure security and compliance of infrastructure and applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure and application performance, using tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, or Datadog
- Participate in design reviews, offering input on requirements, product design, and potential challenges
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Amazon Web Services, demonstrating your proficiency in cloud computing solutions
- Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Scripting Languages, enabling you to implement and manage infrastructure as code
- Practical experience in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, showcasing your ability to deploy and manage containerized applications
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, and deployment automation
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, enabling you to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking capabilities to effectively convey feedback and insights
- Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset, crucial for meticulous testing efforts
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to other DevOps tools and technologies such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
