We are looking for a skilled Middle DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, working with a leading provider of cloud-based solutions in the healthcare industry. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and managing VMs, applying CIS hardening, and ensuring FIPS compliance for data security. Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage VMs in AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
- Apply CIS benchmarks for VM, OS, and app hardening, ensuring the security and reliability of our systems
- Maintain FIPS compliance for data security, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
- Set up and manage DNS in AWS, implementing DNSSEC for DNS security
- Design FedRAMP-compliant access controls and auth mechanisms, ensuring secure access to our systems and data
- Participate in security audits, addressing FedRAMP controls and recommending improvements based on AWS, DNS, and FedRAMP trends
- Stay updated on AWS, DNS, and FedRAMP trends, recommending improvements to our systems and processes
- Develop documentation, guidelines, and SOPs for FedRAMP compliance, ensuring consistency and accuracy in our processes
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Amazon Web Services, demonstrating your expertise in deploying and managing VMs and implementing security measures
- Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and scripting languages, enabling you to automate processes and streamline operations
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, allowing you to deploy and manage containerized applications at scale
- Good understanding of CIS benchmarks for VM, OS, and app hardening, ensuring the security and reliability of our systems
- Ability to maintain FIPS compliance for data security, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
- Knowledge of DNSSEC and its implementation for DNS security, enabling you to set up and manage DNS in AWS
- Experience in designing FedRAMP-compliant access controls and auth mechanisms, ensuring secure access to our systems and data
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
Nice to have
- Experience in other cloud-based solutions, such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with other security measures, such as SSL/TLS, SSH, and VPN
- Knowledge of other DevOps tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Chef
- Experience in managing and monitoring production systems, ensuring high availability and performance
- Certifications in AWS, DevOps, or security, demonstrating your expertise in the field.
