Middle Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS)

We are seeking a skilled Middle Cloud Platform Engineer specializing in AWS Cloud, CI/CD, Python, and Bash to join our growing team.
In this role, you will contribute to building, scaling, and maintaining a self-service platform that supports the SDLC. Using your knowledge of AWS technologies and automation practices, you will assist development teams with seamless build, test, and deployment processes while focusing on operational efficiency and security.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain components of a self-service SDLC platform using AWS, Python, and Bash scripting
- Assist in integrating AWS serverless and PaaS services to support development, testing, and deployment workflows
- Utilize tools such as CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, and SAM for resource and infrastructure provisioning
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Collaborate with teams to understand and address platform needs and improvements
- Support the establishment of guidelines for AWS Cloud services, CI/CD workflows, Python, and Bash scripting
- Assist with monitoring platform security, performance, and availability, including compliance with standards
- Participate in evaluating new technologies and methods to improve the platform
- Provide troubleshooting support to development teams and promote a collaborative engineering culture
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with a focus on AWS Cloud, CI/CD, Python, and Bash scripting
- Practical knowledge of deploying and managing AWS Cloud services and their use with CI/CD tools
- Basic understanding of algorithms, data structures, and time complexity concepts
- Familiarity with solving simple to medium-complexity algorithms
- Working experience with CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, or SAM
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Competency in Python and Bash scripting with relevant development exposure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Solid problem-solving skills alongside effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Availability to engage with global teams during a 9-11 AM CST time window
- Proficient verbal and written English communication skills, at least at a B1+ level
Nice to have
- Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications
- Demonstrated experience building self-service platforms for large-scale, global organizations
- Exposure to other cloud platforms, such as Azure
