We are currently looking for a remote Middle Automation Tester in Mobile to become a part of the team.
The customer is a Canadian retail company that operates in the automotive, hardware, sports, leisure, and housewares sectors. It is a family of businesses that includes a retail segment, a financial services division, and CT REIT.
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements, prepare test cases
- Test and deploy effective automation techniques and strategies to meet the goals of the testing process and product's objective
- Run and support end-to-end tests, acceptance testing
- Provide guidance on establishing automation QA process
- Prepare, maintain, and run automated test scripts
- Find programming bugs, documentation, report and follow-up
- Front-end and API testing, take part in the whole QA process
- Close cooperation with the development team(s)
- Monitor quality requirements during the development process
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Automation Testing in Mobile
- Experience in software development, methodologies and practical OOP knowledge
- Experience with Appium
- Test automation experience with knowledge of Espresso
- Proficient in getting around Integrated Development environments - Android Studio
- Good understanding and experience in Kotlin and Java programming languages
- Solid knowledge of JUnit4
- Experience of work with Gradle build tool
- Good understanding of BDD / TDD / ATDD methodologies
- Experience in REST testing
- Experience of work with GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins
- Experience in automation framework JBehave
- Agile practices experience (Scrum/Kanban)
- Flexibility, willingness to adapt to the changing needs of clients, work as part of a digital team
- Troubleshooter, motivated team player, able to take leadership over the complicated tasks, initiative
- Work with efficiency, responsibility, completeness, and within reasonable timeframes
- Ability to work without supervision
- Strong Communication skills
- Constructive criticism, analytical mindset and high attention to details
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Thucydides/Serenity is a plus
