Currently, we are looking for a remote Middle Automation Tester in Java for a Sofware Company
Responsibilities
- Work in a highly agile, engaged, and motivated software Engineering team
- Execute upon our Quality Engineering strategy; including, leveraging tools, technologies, and processes for Test Automation at all levels, (e.g. Unit testing, Integration testing, System-level testing, Load testing, Performance testing, etc.)
- Utilize development skills to create and run our world-class test automation system written in Java
- Ability to work independently and produce code that is fault tolerant, efficient, reusable and maintainable
- Demonstrate good judgment to select methods and techniques to obtain solutions and produce test plans largely intended for automation
- Thoroughly test product use-cases and liaise with developers to deliver outstanding product quality
- Able to explore product quality issues and triage automated test runs
- Network with cross-functional teams to handle queries and escalations from internal partners and customers
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in AT in Java
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Master’s degree preferred
- Professional experience in a commercial software product domain (e.g. SaaS, etc.) is preferred – strong programming skills are required
- Understanding of Test Automation (e.g. Unit Testing, Selenium, Web Services Testing, GUI Testing); experience with testing client applications is highly desirable
- Understanding of Web and Mobile-related technologies, (inc. Operating Systems, Web Services, Communication Protocols, etc.)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team-player and can-do attitude
Nice to have
- Experience with distributed systems
- Familiarity with cloud services (preferably AWS - EC2, container services, elastic search)
- Experience with version control, build, and bug tracking systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, BitBucket, and Jira
