We are looking for a remote Middle Application Support Specialist to join our team and manage Oracle database servers while providing Linux-based infrastructure support. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure. With your experience in Openshift and Google Cloud, you will configure and manage databases and monitor and debug server logs. Your knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub will enable optimal results for the processes involved in software development and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle database servers and provide Linux-based infrastructure support
- Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Monitor the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Promote automated processes wherever possible
- Track issues effectively using ITIL approved methodology (incidents, changes, requests, and problems)
- Coordinate and communicate within the team and business
- Manage periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the business
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in application support, with a focus on Linux-based infrastructure and cloud services
- Expertise in Oracle database servers and database structure
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with Openshift and Google Cloud
- Good monitoring and debugging skills for server logs
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
- Experience with security best practices in software development and deployment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate and communicate within the team and business
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in English language, with at least B1+ level
