We are seeking a Middle Application Support Engineer to join our remote team.
As a member of the global 24x7 support organization, you will provide technical assistance and support to our customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs. You will also work with engineers and product managers to improve the product, identify product bugs, and document feature requests. Your knowledge of GCP Databases, GCP Storage, and Linux Administration will help you provide top-notch support to our customers. As a team player with excellent communication skills, you will work collaboratively with internal support teams and customers to implement effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and support to customers using Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve the product and make our customers successful
- Handle change requests and incident tickets for the remaining Infrastructure Teams - Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Follow notification and escalation procedures
- Follow communication standards with business involving operational issues
- Identify and document product bugs and feature requests and work with internal support teams as well as customers to implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with internal support teams to improve cloud products at a senior level
Requirements
- 2+ years of development experience in any of these languages (Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, Go, .NET, Ruby, Node.js)
- Software Architecture Patterns (Monolith, Distributed, Microservices)
- Building Web Applications/Web Services/APIs
- Experience querying Relational Databases (MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL)
- Experience in support (monitoring, software maintenance, new features, etc)
- Deep knowledge of GCP Databases and GCP Storage
- Familiarity with Linux Administration and Networks basics
- Excellent communication skills, including good documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, allowing effective communication with customers and teams
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing Experience (cloud implementations)
- Experience with Web Authentication (Basic, Cookies)
- Understanding of Networking (Load Balancer, Firewall, DNS, Forwarding Rules, NAT)
- Experience using No Relational Databases
- Experience with third-party APIs
