We are seeking a Legal Manager to become part of our team. This opportunity allows you to contribute to a dynamic company and influence legal decision-making at a strategic level. You will engage with teams across different countries and play a significant part in driving business success through your legal knowledge. Responsibilities
- Drive the expansion of EPAM’s business activities by managing legal matters in Poland and the Central and Eastern European region
- Draft, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of client agreements, including IT software service contracts, consulting agreements, statements of work, NDAs, and data processing contracts
- Develop, negotiate, and oversee procurement contracts for subcontractors, vendors, alliances, leases, NDAs, and data processing
- Provide legal advice to sales and business units during RFP processes
- Partner with internal stakeholders and the global Legal team to support deal completion
- Lead and participate in projects focused on creating contract templates, unifying legal standards, and improving contract management systems
- Educate internal teams to ensure legal policies and procedures are consistently applied
- Assist with GDPR compliance by working with cross-functional groups and offering guidance on privacy and data protection matters
- Advise on digital, technology, and cybersecurity regulations, and contribute to compliance initiatives such as NIS2
- Collaborate with both internal and external legal specialists, including external counsel
- Compile management reports detailing contract negotiations, disputes, and other key legal updates
- Plan and deliver training on legal policies, programs, and contract practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or a closely related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ legal practice experience, including work at a top law firm or as in-house counsel for a leading IT services provider
- Thorough knowledge of Contract Law, Data Protection Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Polish legal requirements
- Proven expertise in negotiating software development contracts
- Broad experience in commercial law and strong decision-making skills
- Outstanding skills in drafting and written legal communication
- Fluency in English and Polish, both written and spoken, at an advanced level
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and perform well under pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with a high level of productivity
- Experience working on legal matters related to commercial IT services
Nice to have
- Familiarity with legal frameworks in other European countries
- Proficiency in Russian, which is helpful for cross-border legal work
