We're seeking a Lead UX Designer to join our team, contributing to product discovery, design systems, and end-to-end UX delivery by combining strong design fundamentals with modern AI-assisted workflows in an agile/Scrum environment.
Responsibilities
- Own UX deliverables within assigned sprints, spanning discovery through hand-off
- Lead research efforts, frame problems, and establish early-stage design direction
- Maintain and enhance consistency with the design system while proposing improvements
- Incorporate AI tools into daily workflows to boost speed and quality of design output
- Attend all Scrum ceremonies consistently and punctually, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Break work into sprint-sized increments and estimate design tasks accordingly
- Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and developers to align design work with the sprint backlog
- Provide design assets and specs on time for development hand-off within sprint deadlines
- Flag blockers, risks, or scope changes to the Product Owner/Scrum Master proactively
- Partner cross-functionally with developers, PMs, and other designers, exchanging constructive feedback during design reviews
- Record design decisions and rationale clearly for team and stakeholder visibility
Requirements
- 9-15 years of overall professional experience
- Strong command of Figma, including component-based design, prototyping, and collaborative workflows
- Expertise in design discovery, encompassing research, problem framing, and early-stage design direction
- Solid grasp of design system foundations, with the capability to contribute to scalable design systems
- Exposure to AI tools within the design process, such as Figma AI, Midjourney, and ChatGPT/Claude for design ideation
- Background in working within a Scrum framework, covering sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Ability to estimate design tasks and divide work into sprint-sized increments
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar tools for tracking sprint work
