We are seeking a Lead Technical Business Analyst with a data engineering mindset to help modernize client reporting by shaping a Snowflake reporting database for complex insurance SMA needs within Investment Operations. You will partner with Geneva Tech, Everest Tech, Data Ops, and Client Reporting to define data flows, specifications, and controls—apply now to help build a scalable reporting platform.

Responsibilities
  • Lead discovery to document current-state client reporting data flows and define future-state architecture in Snowflake
  • Translate complex insurance SMA client reporting requirements into clear data, modeling, and integration specifications
  • Design source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and reconciliation logic across Geneva, Everest, and other source systems
  • Write and review SQL to validate data, prototype reporting outputs, and support data quality reviews
  • Map end-to-end data flows from investment accounting, portfolio and position, reference data, and metrics into reporting outputs
  • Identify manual steps in reporting workflows and define requirements to eliminate manual intervention
  • Produce functional and technical documentation such as business and data requirements, mappings, models, lineage diagrams, and control requirements
  • Define data quality, validation, and reconciliation requirements to ensure accuracy, auditability, and control objectives
  • Partner with Technology and QA to clarify requirements through build and testing phases
  • Support UAT planning and execution by validating delivered functionality against business intent
  • Support corporate actions asset transfer automation in Geneva by documenting processes and defining delivery requirements
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies early and escalate as needed
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, delivered functionality, and reporting control objectives
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Analytics Engineer supporting reporting or data platform initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience translating complex reporting needs into structured business and data requirements
  • Proven leadership skills to drive alignment across Client Reporting, Technology, Data Ops, and Investment Operations
  • Strong project ownership skills to balance strategic delivery with BAU Investment Ops priorities
  • Advanced SQL skills to validate data, prototype outputs, and support data quality reviews
  • Strong process analysis skills to identify manual steps and define requirements to remove manual intervention
  • Regulatory reporting experience supporting client, regulatory, or investment reporting workflows
  • Requirements analysis expertise to produce clear functional and technical specifications and maintain traceability
  • Strong communication skills for high-quality written documentation and clear stakeholder updates
  • Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2, Upper-Intermediate)

  • Snowflake experience for cloud data warehouse reporting layers
  • SS&C Advent Geneva experience
  • Asset management reporting domain knowledge
  • Reconciliation and EOD/BOD procedures experience
  • Analytics and reporting tools experience (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau)
