Lead Systems Engineer II

We are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer II to act as a subject matter expert within Software, System, and Test Engineering.

You will work in Newtown, PA and various long-term unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, follow, explain and enhance defined ITIL/ ITSM processes within the team, as well as in linked teams
  • Initiate, design, manage implementation of solutions and processes
  • Work closely with the software development staff to design and build production systems
  • Provide 24x7 support, maintenance and improvement, and monitoring for production environments
  • Install, configure, and upgrade software, interface with vendors for technical support, upgrades, bug fixes, etc as necessary
  • Write and review support and end-user documentation
  • Lead and support offsite/onsite systems engineers
  • Utilize different software development methodologies, processes, techniques, and quality planning methods in all phases of work
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Informatics, Radiophysics, or closely related discipline; plus 5 years of employment experience in the job offered (Lead Systems Engineer), Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, SW Maintenance Engineer, Network Support Engineer, Database Analyst, Developer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, Systems Analyst, or closely related occupation
  • Manage infrastructure, software roll outs and maintenance, coordinate resources, timing, and costs using SCM (source code management) tool Git, at least one of the following IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools: Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK, and software configuration management tool Ansible
  • Build engineering for various applications in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, .NET, Python, JavaScript, Golang, or Swift, in at least one of the following Infrastructures: VMs, Kubernetes, or Loud Balancers, and in at least one of the following cloud managements: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
