Lead Software Testing Engineer

The Lead Software Testing Engineer is a vital role in our organization, responsible for the overall quality and functionality of our software products.

With at least 5 years of software testing experience and an expert level of primary skills, the Lead Software Testing Engineer will handle complex technical issues, provide high-quality functional requirements, and lead a team of testers. This role is self-managing, taking full responsibility for the results of any tasks assigned, and is expected to be a role model for colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Cope with complex technical issues/tasks
  • Expert qualification in several test automation frameworks or tools
  • Work with at least 2 application interfaces, i.e. Web UI, API, DB, etc
  • Set up a code review process
  • Establish, follow and enhance test automation process from scratch without supervision
  • Actively influence and enhance a defined Software Quality Control process
  • Provide high-quality functional requirements and specification review and analysis
  • Create high-quality test plans, test cases and test result reports
  • Play the Key Tester role, and usually also perform a Testing Team Lead, Project Coordinator, Reviewer or Auditor role
  • Take full responsibility for the results of performing any tasks assigned
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of Software Testing and Test Automation experience
  • Expert knowledge of test automation principles, test design technics, frameworks available on the market
  • Expert level of Software Quality Control process and SDLC
  • Strong understanding of project documentation
  • Expected to be self-managing and perform any tasks without supervision
  • Comfortably able to read, write and speak the Customer’s Communication Language; able to write high-quality unambiguous texts
Nice to have
  • Proven experience in evaluating theoretical knowledge and practical skills and the seniority level of candidates
  • Experience participating in phone conferences; being interviewed by customers; being involved in customer workshops and presentations; visiting customers without supervision
  • English B2 level
