We are building a strong team and need a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud to own Java microservices and AWS cloud-native delivery end to end. You will guide architecture and quality, coordinate across groups, and help the team plan and execute reliably—apply now.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the team’s technology solutions and delivery outcomes
- Define technical vision and help the team make well-reasoned decisions
- Unblock delivery by clearing technology issues that arise during the project
- Align with architects and the CTO organization on governance standards and best practices
- Deliver high-quality outcomes that meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Strengthen system designs, architectures, and frameworks as the platform evolves
- Guard quality across data models, API contracts, architecture, frameworks, and code
- Participate in estimation, planning, prioritization, and dependency mapping
- Promote collaboration while leading across teams and stakeholder groups
- Bring hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud-native microservices architecture to the work
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience delivering front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
- Hands-on background in Java, Node.js, and SpringBoot focused on API and microservices development
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud services including ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and CloudWatch
- Experience with DynamoDB and Aurora along with general database technology familiarity
- Working experience with Agile methodology and API testing tools
- Knowledge of Splunk or similar monitoring platforms such as Splunk
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing work plus strong presentation ability
- Detail-focused mindset with ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining structure
- Track record leading teams and coordinating with Vanguard Database, the CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
- Ability to clarify unclear technical problems and deliver well-defined solutions
Nice to have
- Python programming familiarity
- Experience supporting cloud-native data pipelines
- Experience delivering solutions aligned to business insight and API economy principles
