We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer for our client to assist in implementing platform solutions focused on Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its associated functionalities.

This position will involve a significant role in designing, configuring, and integrating the CMDB in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and enhanced through Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with both cloud and on-premises systems.

The role requires substantial expertise in automating CI lifecycles, working with Discovery patterns, service modeling, and processing data from various infrastructure sources.

Responsibilities
  • Design a scalable, service-aware CMDB aligned with CSDM standards
  • Configure ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure accurate CI data and relationships
  • Develop class models, transform maps, reconciliation rules, and lifecycle processes to automate CI workflows
  • Plan and implement integrations with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as on-prem systems like SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
  • Maintain CMDB data quality using Health frameworks, normalization rules, and duplicate detection tools
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Discovery jobs, data inconsistencies, and integration errors
  • Create structured documentation for CMDB architectures, Discovery configurations, and integration processes
  • Use scripting and Flow Designer to streamline workflows and adapt to platform updates
Requirements
  • More than 5 years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CI class structures
  • Understanding of integrations with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-prem systems (SCCM, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and maintenance of MID Server configurations
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure such as servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud environments
  • Competency in solving technical challenges related to complex IT systems
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams
  • ServiceNow certifications, such as CMDB, Discovery, or App Developer, are advantageous
Nice to have
  • Expertise in managing extensive CMDB hierarchies with large-scale data sets
  • Skills in advanced scripting techniques to automate processes in ServiceNow
  • Understanding of best practices for CI lifecycles and asset management
