We are looking for an accomplished and motivated Lead ServiceNow Developer to support the creation of platform solutions centered around the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its related capabilities.

This position involves a significant role in shaping, configuring, and linking the CMDB with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), using tools such as Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with both cloud-based and on-premises systems.

This technical role requires extensive expertise in automating CI lifecycles, designing Discovery patterns, building service models, and importing data from varied infrastructure sources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a scalable, service-aware CMDB following CSDM principles
  • Implement and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for accurate CI data and relationships
  • Create class models, transformation maps, reconciliation rules, and processes for CI lifecycle automation
  • Establish integrations with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure and on-premises systems such as SCCM, Active Directory, and vCenter
  • Promote CMDB data quality using CMDB Health frameworks, normalization efforts, and duplicate identification tools
  • Analyze and resolve issues with Discovery jobs, inconsistent data, and integration problems
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for CMDB designs, Discovery settings, and integration configurations
  • Apply scripting and the Flow Designer feature to simplify processes and remain aligned with ongoing platform updates
Requirements
  • Background in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
  • Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and CI class hierarchies
  • Understanding of integration approaches for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-prem systems (SCCM, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and managing MID Server deployment and maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud ecosystems
  • Competency in resolving technical challenges in distributed IT systems
  • Strong English communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across remote teams
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CMDB, Discovery, or Application Developer are beneficial
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in managing extensive CMDB structures with significant datasets
  • Background in leveraging advanced scripting for automating tasks in ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with CI lifecycle methodologies and best practices for asset tracking
